he Historic
was Nikolai Alexandrovich Alekseev—the mayor of Moscow—during whose tenure the city’s infrastructure underwent rapid development, and schools, hospitals, and public buildings were constructed. It was during this period that many of Moscow’s landmark projects were completed, including the Upper Shopping Arcades on Red Square, known today as GUM.
One of the most famous owners
Over the years, the Kuchino estate was
owned bymembers of well-known merchant dynasties—the Ryumins, the Alekseevs, and the Ryabushinskys.
Roka Park Collection is located is closely tied to the development of Russian entrepreneurship, science, and public life in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The history of the site where
not survived to the present day, but adjacent to the complex’s grounds are historic stables dating from 1840, built by architect Jean-François Thibault. Its proximity to this site maintains the Roka Park Collection’s connection to the rich historical heritage of the Kuchino estate and makes a stay here part of the broader history of this place.
The main manor house has
Dmitry Pavlovich Ryabushinsky—a scientist, patron of the arts, and founder of Europe's first aerodynamic institute, which was established in Kuchino.
